General Retail Assistant at Sutton, Stonecot Hill
Maternity Cover Feb 2019 until October 2019
Martell’s are looking to recruit a part time General Assistant at our furniture store in Sutton. This is for maternity cover and will be from February 2019 until October 2019. The vacancy is for 4 days a week to be worked in accordance with the needs of the business and will include weekend work. Usually a working day is 9am until 5.15pm although flexibility is required.
This is a pivotal role supporting the manager of the store and ensuing our customers receive the patient and diligent customer service that they expect from Martell’s.
Our Sutton store is small and there is a requirement for lone working during part of your week.
Experience working in retail is essential as is a patient approach to our customers. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role and be confident using Excel, CorelDRAW, Photoshop, Outlook and social media.

Apprentice Warehouse Operative & Removals Porter
Martell’s are looking to recruit an Apprentice Warehouse Operative & Removals Porter to be based at our East Grinstead yard. The position is 32 hours a week to be worked over 4 days between Monday to Friday according to the needs of the business.
Your working day will normally start at 7.45am and end at 4.45pm, although this can vary depending on the needs of our customers.
Working within our Removals Department you will be learning different aspects of the industry, with the key element of your apprenticeship being warehouse operations. It is a varied role where no two days are the same.
To be successful you need to be happy to take on different challenges and responsibilities as part of a team, while ensuring you follow the regulations which allow you, your colleagues and our customers to be safe.
Rate of pay is competitive within the industry and will be discussed at interview.
